This photo of a wolf spider (Lycosidae) feeding on a scarab beetle (Cyclocephala
lurida) was taken around 11:00pm on June 8, 2005. The spider and
a large gathering of beetles were attracted to a nearby black light trap.

Nikon D70 digital camera, 105mm Nikon micro lens, 1/60 sec; F/16; ISO 200;
with flash (speed light, repeating 1/8)
