Congratulations! We Made It!

Students walk Reed Arena stage to receive diplomas

For a select number of entomology students, this past weekend will be the first step they take into the journey of their lives.

The students joined others in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Mays Business School, Council of Deans, and the College of Medicine during commencement on Saturday.

The department celebrated the students' hard work and determination with a breakfast in the departmental conference room before commencement.

Staff and faculty members of the Entomology Department want to wish everyone good luck in their futures.

"It's been wonderful to work with you all, and I wish you the very best on your next endeavor, whatever that might entail," said Rebecca Hapes, senior academic advisor for the department.

"Congratulations, graduates!" said Pete Teel, professor and Associate Department Head for Academic Programs. "The faculty and staff in the Department of Entomology extend our sincere wishes for a bright and prosperous future to each of you. "

"Your graduation represents the fulfillment of dedication and hard work toward you dreams and personal goals," he added. "We hope that you will keep in touch with us as you move into your next adventure and all the best for the holidays."

"It's just amazing that she did it," Melissa Bolton's mother Kathleen said.

Undergraduate Entomology Student Organization president Jonathan Cammack extended his wishes to the graduates.

"Congratulations to our graduates," he said. "I want to wish them all good luck in the future."
