Scientific name: Pseudaletia unipuncta (Haworth)
Facts: Armyworm larvae are dark green to greenish-brown with three
stripes on each side: first a pale orange white-bordered stripe, next a
dark brown almost blackish stripe, and below another pale orange stripe
edged with white on the upper side. They are about 1 1/2 inches long when
full grown. Armyworm larvae prefer grasses, corn and small grains.
