Scientific name: Myrmeleon sp.
(Neuroptera: Myrmeleonidae)

Facts: Immature antlions are called doodlebugs. They make pits in sandy areas and wait for ants and other insects to fall into the pits. Look for their pits under eaves of houses, under bridges, or in other sheltered areas. Adults are sometimes attracted to lights.
